Yes. HDMI™ is the only way for two good reasons. First, it's
digital all the way with no conversion or compression. Second,
its protected by HDCP, the studios' way of keeping the best
version of its copyrighted content protected from piracy. The
players will not ouput 1080p from the component RGB output, only
480p, the current DVD standard.
