The J-K flip-flop can be
wired to behave as most
other types of
flip-flop.
If J is high and K is
low, Q will go high on
the negative going edge
of the clock pulse.
If K is high and J is
low, Q will go low on
the negative going edge
of the clock pulse.
If J and K are both low,
Q will not change.
If J and K are both
high, the output toggles
on the negative going
edge of the clock pulse.
