2"H" Bridge Direct Current Motor Control Circuit
(LM311) - This page features H-Bridge circuits
used for controlling direct current motors. Several
designs are shown using both CMOS and Bi-Polar power
devices. These circuits could be used as the basis
for Model Railroad DCC Boosters or PWM motor
controllers. |

4-transistor H-bridge - an interesting
4-transistor H-bridge variant; this is cheap and
easy to build, and best of all is "smokeless" (i.e.,
no combination of inputs can cause bridge to
self-destruct). |
|
6-transistor H-bridge - This is six transistor
"Tilden style" H-bridge; while not as old as
original "basic H-bridge," this goes "way back," and
is basis for many BEAM driver circuits |

Bridging enhances filter close in selectivity -
EDN-Design Ideas: General filters are bandpass
filters that usually employ bridging couplings
between nonadjacent interstage couplings (Reference
1). This class of filters also includes bridging
coupling across filter input and output ports. The
implementation of input-to-output bridging already
exists for a one-pole filter (Reference 2). For a
two-pole filter, dielectric resonators help achieve
input-to-output bridging coupling (Reference 3). |

Circuit Adds Programmability to Sensor Amplifier
- EDN-Design Ideas: The pressure-sensor amplifier
circuit of Figure 1 offers a number of advantages
over the traditional approach using the classic
three-op-amp instrumentation amplifier. The circuit
can operate from a single supply and uses only two
op amps and 1% resistors. If the reference voltage,
VREF, is 0V, the transducer gain for the circuit
isTo ensure equal.. |

Delta Sigma ADC Bridge Measurement Techniques -
AN96 Linear Technology AN96 features several
applications that demonstrate how to take full
advantage of Linear Technology's delta sigma ADCs
when interfacing to sensors. In many cases, signal
conditioning can be greatly simplified or eliminated
completely. This note explains where it is
appropriate to use amplifiers and how to optimize
amplifier gain. Also included.. |

Programmable Gain Amplifier is Low Cost #1 - EDN-Design
Ideas: Numerous programmable-gain amplifiers are
available, but a simple solution provides the option
of using 256 gain steps with an 8-bit DAC and higher
steps with higher bit DACs (Figure 1). According to
the inverting-amplifier configuration of an op amp,
the output voltage is VOUT=VIN(RF/RIN) |

Rc Network Eliminates Precision Reference - EDN-Design
Ideas: The circuit in Fig 1 uses a
magneto-resistive sensor to detect small magnet
displacements without resorting to a precision
voltage reference. A simple RC divider takes the
place of the reference, eliminating an expensive
component and obviating trimming each circuit. |

Wattmeter - The extra input B is for a later SWR
bridge project, also the TX serial output will be in
use later. The uncalibrated signal response is:
+1/-1 dB from 1MHz to 450MHz. Input SWR vill varry
from 1.00 to 1.30, depending on input frequency. To
make the SWR this good, you need to assemble the
input circuit correct and adjust the capacitor.
Input power range: -60 to +30dBm that is 1 nW to 1
Watt. |
